The Horsehead Nebula, located in the Orion constellation, is a dark nebula approximately 1,375 light-years away from Earth. Its iconic horsehead-shaped silhouette is created by dense clouds of gas and dust obscuring the bright background of ionized hydrogen gas illuminated by nearby stars.
