Southern Pinwheel Galaxy | M83 | NGC 5236
Approximately 15 million light-years away, nearly 300 supernova remnants have been observed in this barred spiral galaxy. Detailed analysis of the mass distribution within the galaxy has suggested the presence of a double nucleus at its center.
Imaged in BVR over 3 hours in 300-second exposures March 9th and10th, 2024
